Privacy Policy

Effective date: 07/31/2026 Last updated: 07/31/2026

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how DIY Prepper (“DIY Prepper,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit www.diyprepper.com (the “Site”), purchase our products, subscribe to our emails, or otherwise interact with us.

We operate on a few simple principles:

  • We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide something to you.
  • We don’t sell your personal information.
  • We keep our use of cookies and tracking to a minimum, and we don’t use analytics or advertising trackers.
  • We don’t share your personal information except as described in this policy, such as to fulfill your order, operate our business, or comply with the law.

By using the Site or purchasing from us, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to visitors, customers, and subscribers who interact with our Site and products. Our products and Site are intended for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children (see Section 13).

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, limited information collected automatically, and limited information we receive from our service providers.

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Contact and account information. Your name, email address, and, if you create an account, a username and password.
  • Order and billing information. Your billing name, billing address, the products you purchase, and order history. Your payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processor, not stored on our servers (see Section 2.4).
  • Consultation information. If you book a consultation or readiness-planning service, the information you share with us before or during that service so we can prepare and deliver it.
  • Communications. Information you provide when you email us, submit a support or feedback request, respond to a survey, or otherwise contact us.
  • Blog comments. If you comment on our blog, the name, email address, and any content you submit with the comment.
  • Marketing preferences. Whether you have opted in to receive marketing emails.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, our web server may record basic technical information in its standard logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your request. We use this only to operate, maintain, and secure the Site. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies to profile your browsing (see Section 6).

2.3 Information From Our Service Providers

We may receive limited information from the providers who help us run our business, such as our checkout and payment provider confirming that a payment succeeded, and, if you subscribe to our emails, our email platform reporting whether a message was delivered.

2.4 Payment Information

Payments are processed by our third-party checkout and payment provider, SureCart, and its integrated payment processors (such as Stripe). When you make a purchase, you provide your payment details directly to that provider, and its collection and use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction details needed to fulfill and support your order.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders and deliver your digital products.
  • Provide, schedule, and deliver consultation or planning services you purchase.
  • Create and maintain your account.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests and feedback.
  • Send transactional messages, such as order confirmations, download links, and service-related notices.
  • Send marketing emails about new products, updates, and offers, where permitted (you can opt out at any time).
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our Site and products.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues.
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms and agreements.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract, to process and deliver your orders and services.
  • Consent, for example to send you marketing emails. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests, such as operating and improving our Site, securing our services, and preventing fraud, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation, to comply with applicable laws, including tax and accounting requirements.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to protect your information, including our website host, checkout and payment provider (SureCart) and payment processors, email platform, and customer support tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and safety. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or governmental request; to enforce our terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DIY Prepper, our customers, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any acquirer will remain bound by the commitments in this policy or will notify you of any material change.
  • With your direction or consent. When you ask us to share your information or otherwise consent to sharing.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help a website function and remember information. We keep our use of cookies to a minimum.

We use only strictly necessary cookies, meaning cookies that are required to operate the Site and provide what you ask for. These include cookies that:

  • Keep you logged in to your account and remember your settings.
  • Operate the shopping cart and process your checkout.
  • Remember your cookie or privacy choices, if you make any.

We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies, and we do not permit third parties to place such cookies through our Site. Because the only cookies we use are strictly necessary to deliver the services you request, we are not required to display a cookie consent banner. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and obtain your consent where the law requires it.

We also serve the fonts used on our website from our own servers rather than loading them from a third-party font service, so simply viewing our pages does not transmit your information to an outside provider.

You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the Site, such as login and checkout, may not work properly.

7. Third-Party Services We Use

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate our business. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your information:

  • Checkout and payments: SureCart and its payment processors (such as Stripe).
  • Website hosting: Siteground.
  • Email: Mailchimp, Clickfunnels

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers. We are not responsible for their practices.

8. Email and Communications

We send two kinds of email:

  • Transactional emails related to your purchase, account, or a request you made (such as order confirmations and download links). You cannot opt out of these while you have an active order or account, because they are necessary to provide what you bought.
  • Marketing emails about new products, updates, and offers. We send these only where permitted, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages.

9. Data Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide our products and services, maintain records for tax, accounting, and legal compliance, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order and transaction records may be retained for the period required by applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

11. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and we and our service providers may process and store your information in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers. By using the Site or providing your information, you understand it may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Portability, to receive a copy of certain information in a portable format.
  • Opt out of marketing communications, and of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and targeted advertising.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Non-discrimination, meaning we will not treat you unfairly for exercising your rights.

How to exercise your rights. Contact us at diyprepperprojects@gmail.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.

12.1 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the rights described above, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, the right to delete and correct it, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. California’s “Shine the Light” law also lets California residents request information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing purposes; we do not make such disclosures.

12.2 EEA / UK Residents (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the rights described above and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. We rely on the legal bases set out in Section 4.

12.3 Texas and Other U.S. State Residents

If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act may give you rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at diyprepperprojects@gmail.com. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response; where required, we will provide instructions for contacting your state Attorney General.

12.4 Universal Opt-Out Signals

We do not sell or share personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing for these signals to opt you out of. Where required by law, we honor recognized universal opt-out signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC).

13. Children’s Privacy

Our Site and products are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the minimum age required by applicable law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at diyprepperprojects@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it.

14. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to these signals, our Site does not currently respond to them differently. Note that we do not track your activity across other websites in any case. We honor recognized opt-out signals as described in Section 12.4 where the law requires.

15. Third-Party Links

Our Site and products may link to third-party websites and resources that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where required by law. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
